The NBA announced a significant expansion of the Coach’s Challenge rule, approved by the league’s Board of Governors.
Under the new rules, coaches can now use a challenge on out-of-bounds plays to review whether fouls should have been called during the play.
The NBA Board of Governors today approved the expanded use of the Coach’s Challenge when reviewing out-of-bounds violations, beginning in the 2024-25 NBA season.
