The winner of the Premier League Golden Boot has been confirmed
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has won the Premier League Golden Boot for 2023/24.
The Norwegian striker retained his title after scoring 27 goals in 31 games, a reversal from his dreadful form last season where he found the net 36 times in just 35 appearances.
Despite dropping from ungodly to superhuman goalscoring levels, Haaland still managed to finish in the top five without nearest competition Cole Palmer, whose first year with Chelsea ended with a 22-goal haul.
“It’s not bad,” said Haaland, who is always vocal about his latest honor after the game. “There is not much to say, it is better to just play football and not talk too much. Let other people talk and it will be better.
“[The Premier League has] It was harder than I expected. All the games, the way all the games are not the same as the finals but not far. You come from somewhere or at home and you can’t rest. Every game is intense and difficult. “
Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak wrapped up the bronze medal with 21 goals, the only three players to represent the club 20+ this season.
Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins ended his impressive campaign with 19 goals but finished as the Premier League’s top scorer with an impressive haul of 13 assists to go along with his goalscoring haul.
Also among the 19-year-olds was Haaland City team-mate Phil Foden, who netted twice on the final day to help secure the Premier League title, and Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke.
