Tottenham have been given hope of signing Viktor Gyokeres for less than his release clause, which is believed to be around £84m, according to reports.
Spurs have signed talented youngster Archie Gray from Leeds, while they have extended the loan of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, and Lucas Bergvall has joined from Djurgardens.
The north London club will have to sign more players if they are serious about returning to the Champions League next season after missing out to Aston Villa in the last campaign.
Spurs can get Gyokeres at a reduced price
Spurs are known to be in the market for an attack, and the club are reportedly keen on trying to keep Richarlison.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have been linked with Ivan Toney and Jonathan David who are both in the final year of their contracts, but nothing has happened yet.
However, GIVEMESPORT reported that Spurs could sign Gyokeres for a reduced fee, as confidence grows that the striker could be available for a cheaper fee than expected.
The Sporting Lisbon star has a release clause in his contract thought to be worth in the region of £85m and GIVEMESPORT add that Spurs could consider a surprise move for the Swede if they are given assurances they can land him at a reduced price.
Gyokeres had a great season for Sporting following his move from Coventry City last summer, scoring 43 goals and providing 15 assists in 50 games in all competitions, and was linked with a move to Chelsea earlier in the summer.
Spurs are currently relying heavily on Son Heung-min for goals, and Richarlison is not living up to expectations despite showing signs of improvement last season but the club could do with adding more firepower.
Postecoglou’s men have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, and they want to offload a number of young players.
