Tottenham have been heavily criticized for their display of Championship-level players after the NLD defeat

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Archie Gray from Leeds United during the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old midfielder joined the North London club in a deal worth £40 million, but has had few opportunities to prove his qualities in the first team.

Former Tottenham player Jamie O’Hara has criticized Tottenham for their poor transfer business after losing to Arsenal in the North London Derby.

O’Hara revealed that Tottenham have signed a number of players from Championship clubs in recent months and they expect these players to deliver results that will help them win major trophies.

O’Hara also revealed that he would prefer the likes of Aaron Lennon, Tom Huddlestone, Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Rafael van der Vaart over these signings any day of the week.

Spurs have recently signed players such as Dominic Solanke, Wilson Odobert and Brennan Johnson from clubs such as Bournemouth, Burnley and Nottingham Forest. O’Hara is clearly unhappy with the signings and is likely urging the North London club to aim higher and bring in quality players.

Interestingly, the likes of Lennon, Huddlestone and Defoe were all signed from Championship clubs when they moved to Tottenham. The disappointment after Arsenal’s defeat is understandable and it remains to be seen whether Spurs can bounce back.

They have a top quality squad and will be looking to improve in the coming weeks. They will be looking to challenge for trophies this season and will be looking to finish in the top four. They will not be able to drop points every time if they want to do well this season.

Meanwhile, Gray is an incredible talent with a huge future and there’s no reason why he can’t develop into a success story in the near future.
