“Trying to get the green light” – Romano shares Tottenham transfer update as club push to complete deal before deadline
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is closing in on a move to Real Betis, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano providing the latest update on ongoing talks.

Interest from other clubs including West Ham and Aston Villa
While Real Betis seem to be leading the way, other clubs have also expressed interest in winning the Copa America.
West Ham United is reported to have made an inquiry about Lo Celso yesterday, while Aston Villa are also always looking for this player. However, despite this interest, Tottenham are expected to reach an agreement with Real Betis before the transfer window closes.
Lo Celso’s return to Real Betis would mark a return to familiar ground, where he thrived in the 2018-19 season.
The midfielder has struggled to find a consistent role at Tottenham and a move to La Liga could give him the chance to revive his career.
