Rewriting the record books for Madhya Pradesh : Ranji Trophy 2024-25
Patidar with 68 ton balls broke the fastest century record of Madhya Pradesh, held by. Naman Ojhawho scored a hundred off 69 balls against him Karnataka in 2015. Patidar’s innings included 13 fours and seven sixes, which allowed him to overcome Haryana’s bowling attack and boost Madhya Pradesh’s batting order. His knock was particularly noteworthy as it elevated him to fifth place in the list of fastest times in Ranji Trophy history. While Rishabh Pant holding the record for the fastest Ranji century, which he scored off just 48 balls, Patidar’s innings stands as a memorable one, given his recent struggles in form.

Do not disturb this storage @RCBTweets. You will be happy to take 3rd position @ 11 crores. It is very risky to buy him with RTM card. I hope so @DineshKarthik you are reading this. https://t.co/r9A4M9406w

It goes without saying that it is very risky to allow Rajat to enter the auction in the hope of buying again cheaply. One of the top 10% T20 batsmen.
There is no point in increasing the budget in this case in the hope of getting a KL Rahul or a Rishabh Pant who has been at a low level since ages. https://t.co/QoV0SWKAuf

What an amazing innings by Rajat Patidar! Scoring a hundred off just 68 balls in the Ranji Trophy is no mean feat. You definitely make a statement on the field! 🚀🏏

Hearing reports that Rajat may not be retained scares me. Trying to RTM sounds risky I think his price easily exceeds 10+ cr. Parties that will know that we will be using RTM will increase the bid and squeeze us. it is better to keep him.

Getting back into shape is key
Patidar’s performance in the Ranji Trophy came as a much-needed wake-up call. He had a slow start to the domestic season, managing just 146 runs in six innings in the Duleep Trophy and struggling in the first rounds of the Ranji season. However, he started to show signs of recovery with 90 built against it Punjabi in the previous round. This latest century restored his reputation as one of Madhya Pradesh’s most reliable batsmen. Having played a major role in Madhya Pradesh’s title-winning campaign in the 2021-22 season, where he scored 658 runs with two hundreds and five hundreds, Patidar continues to prove his worth in the team as a middle-order hero.
