Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy: You don’t have to come in to be above average

“There’s no reason to go all in to be above average,” said Mike Dunleavy when he spoke to the media. Finally, the Golden State Warriors will have to completely move on from the dominant era that brought them four championships and six NBA Finals appearances between 2015 and 2022. A big step in that direction came when he decided not to re-sign Klay Thompson through the 2024-25 season. “Perhaps we have run out of patience as you can be a franchise right now if we look at our time. But there is a line between impatience and bad behavior,” continued the general manager of the Warriors.

And they are not ready to explain what is the floor or the ceiling with the team they have.
