Cam Davis earned an emotional PGA Tour title at the Rocket Mortgage Classic with a bag full of Titleist clubs.

After missing something and what he felt was almost a slump in his game, Davis returned to his best form in Detroit.

“It was a frustrating situation to be in, especially to see the game go in the wrong direction for so long, but to come out of the deep and do this again, it puts a little spark. let’s get back to things,” said Davis. “I want to be out here, I want to win championships.

“All these things that come with winning are very exciting because you know you’ve done something good. Doing it again, yes, it feels very special now.

“I have two other big goals to finish at the top of the FedExCup and try to get into the President Cup team.

“Just knowing that good golf is out there and was able to come out this week, I want to keep playing. I still have a lot to play for this year.”

“(I wanted) something that I would really stick to because I’m someone who will start doing something and if it feels like it’s helping immediately, it’s very easy to stop.

“Continuing the work I’m doing […] he made a big impact very quickly.

“I felt a lot better last week even though the points didn’t show up, and how this week turned out is hard to believe because I wasn’t in a good place for the last two or three weeks.

Davis uses Surefit hosels in his Titleist TSR3 driver and 3-wood, which gives him the ability to change the loft and launch of those clubs.

He uses a Titleist T100 3-iron as his long iron while his other irons are from the Titleist 620 Cavity Back range.

Davis uses the tour favorite Titleist Vokey Design SM10 wedge and a WedgeWorks 60 degree.

Trusted Brand Ambassador Davis birdied his final two holes in 1-under par – getting his Pro V1 golf ball up-and-down on Nos 17 (birdie) and 18 (par) – to win by one shot at the Detroit Golf Club.

Playing with a full bag of Titleist equipment, Davis scored more than 8 shots on the course tee-to-green (+8.674/4th), more than seven of which came on approach shots (+4.352/12th) and near the green. (+3.052/9th).

He gained three strokes over the green (3.677/19th), using the Scotty Cameron TourType Special Select Masterful tour prototype putter that he debuted at the Traveler Championship.

“The Pro V1 was the first quality ball I ever used. I mean, after I went through the phase of just being happy to find a good quality ball in the trees as a teenager, this is the first ball I started using.

“I used it because Adam Scott was a guy when I was growing up (in Australia), and he was a Titleist guy. But since then, it’s been a feeling and just flying – it’s just been what I’ve been used to ever since, and I love it.

“[The consistency] walking the bag, from the feel of getting the putt off center, around the wedges, being able to control your ball flight and distance with the irons, to finding the most reliable ball flight for your driver to keep the ball in play. I mean, you’re hitting it on every shot, so you want it to be reliable on every shot.”
