On the 2nd day First Test between Pakistan and England, Aamer Jamal he almost fumbled England’s first goal Zak Crawley. The incident happened in the 25th over of England’s first innings when Pakistan’s ace pacer Shaheen Afridi he threw to Crawley.
Aamer Jamal almost misses Zak Crawley’s catch
Afridi stopped Crawley’s dismissal with precision, bowling a consistent length outside the off-stump, tempting the batsmen to drive. In a change of tactics, Afridi bent the ball towards Crawley, who bowled it towards leg. Jamal, placed in the middle of the wicket, almost made a terrible mistake by throwing the ball in his first attempt. The ball slipped out of his hands, but Jamal recovered quickly, bending over to save the rejection on the second try. Crawley, visibly disappointed, had to return after hitting 78 off 85 balls, including 13 fours.

Joe Root and Ben Duckett held firm at the crease
Earlier in the match, Pakistan scored a massive 556 runs in their first innings, thanks to centuries Agha Salman, Abdullah Shafiqand the captain Shan Masood. The trio’s impressive batting performance set the tone for Pakistan’s strong start to the series. Opener Shafique and skipper Masood, have laid a solid foundation, while Salman has added some stability in the middle order, helping Pakistan to top form on Day 1 of the Test match.
As Day 2 progressed, at the end of the 1st session, England found themselves under pressure, trailing by a crucial margin of 324 runs. Despite losing two early wickets, including the in-form Crawley, England’s batsmen Joe Root again Ben Duckett they strengthened the ship. Root, unbeaten on 72, and Duckett, who is 80, have started to form a partnership and looked comfortable at the crease as England reached 232/2.
With Root and Duckett showing solid form, England still have a long way to go to bring down the dominant Pakistanis. As the match progresses, all eyes will be on whether the English middle order can continue to fight or if the Pakistani bowling attack, led by Afridi, can benefit from early success.
