Viktor Hovland has managed to produce some amazing pieces of golf genius already.
The snap hook is usually considered an unwanted mishit but it is sometimes called for and the Norwegian showed his ability to land the shot at the right time.
He drank it as he bent over the trees.
Hovland admits it wasn’t a great season compared to 2023 when he won the FedEx Cup.
“Yeah, it wasn’t my best year,” Hovland said of his campaign.
“I struggled all year. It was a bit of a challenge.”
He said that he was bored by the odd playing.
“I mean, it’s not that fun to play golf when you don’t know where the ball is going,” Hovland said.
“I take pride in trying to make the best of it, but it gets to a point where you lose that belief – you just see the shot, and that’s not enough.
“I can try to grind hard. I can try to log in from there. But you do that so many times, so many times during a round or a tournament, it’s too much to overcome, and I feel like it’s a waste of time to play golf when I’m there. I’d rather be off the golf course and work on it, try to figure out why I do those things.
“But hey, that’s how it happens sometimes, and I feel like I’ve learned more about my golf swing, that I didn’t think I could, so there’s always things to learn, and I’m very happy with the grace. that’s where I’m referring to.
“I’m not sure how long it will take me to play my best golf. It could be this week. It could be next week. But at least now I’m on the road to progress. I am on the way to development.”
