The easiest way to improve your golf and your handicap is to add consistency to your golf swing.

Golf Channel’s Michael Breed has been listed as one of the Top 100 Instructors in America by Golf Magazine and in the Top 50 by Golf Digest. He was also the PGA National Teacher of the Year.

He’s a good listener, then, and has a simple tip for intermediate golfers looking to improve their game.

“You have to make sure that the lower body is responding to what the upper body is saying,” he says.

“I don’t want the knees to push back,” he warned and added: “I don’t want the knees at all, I want them to respond to the hips, and the hips will respond.” the body.

“So what we want is for the body to control this movement and the easiest thing to do is this.”

Watch the video now to see how Breed uses a specially designed gadget to limit negative movement.

“We don’t want you to get into a position where you get fat on your leg by skating,” he said.

Instead, he wants us to say: “Circulate.”

Breed explains: “The hip is going to sink back and there’s going to be a lot of loading on the foot of the track, especially in the heel as you spin or swing, and that’s how you’re going to load the golf club.”

With his gadget he avoids sliding back on the backswing and sliding too far forward on the follow through.

“Do this a few times and go slowly at first,” he says, showing off this new, tough move. “Then you’ll be spinning and loading, not sliding.”
