At the meeting in between Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) again Saint Lucia Kings (SLK) during the 26th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, Chris Jordan he pulled out a magnificent object to destroy the explosion Johnson Charlespreventing the open SLK from reaching its proper century.

The highlight moment came in the 13th over of SLK’s innings when the TKR pacer Jayden Seales delivered a length ball outside off. Charles, a smooth batsman, tried to smash the delivery over long on but mistimed it, taking it off the top of the bat. The ball seemed to go over the boundary, but Jordan, who was placed far away, decided his jump to the end. He got the ball out of the air, denying his captain Charles and scoring a crucial victory for TKR. Charles scored 89 off just 40 balls, including seven fours and eight sixes.

The highest number of Saint Lucia Kings

Without losing Charles, Saint Lucia Kings posted a massive total of 218/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Charles was the star of the innings, providing a fiery start, while the rest of the SLK batsmen contributed to impressive sums.

Trinbago Knight Riders captain Kieron Pollard also played a key role, picking up four crucial wickets to stem the flow of runs in the latter stages of the innings.

In reply, Trinbago Knight Riders struggled to keep up with the lofty target. Their batting was disrupted in the face of SLK’s direct attack, and they found themselves in deep trouble at 138/9 in the 18th over. Chase took another hit from the all-rounder Dwayne Bravowho came in to bat after the ninth wicket, retired injured after playing just two matches. With Bravo unable to continue and the team already nine wickets down, TKR’s innings was declared a success, giving the Saint Lucia Kings an 80-run victory.

For his incredible knock, Charles was named Man of the Match, despite missing his century. His blistering strike laid the foundation for SLK’s dominant victory, keeping them firmly in the CPL 2024 race.
