A number of American golfers made the trip across the Atlantic to take part in the recent Scottish Open won by local hero Robert MacIntyre, much to his delight.
“I’ve never been shy about saying: The Scottish Open is what I want,” MacIntyre said of his final round.
And he was sure that he would celebrate realizing his wish.
“I’m not a big drinker, but when you get moments like that it’s a childhood dream and a lifelong goal, and you have family and friends there who have supported you since you were a child, I think it was really good. I’m good,” MacIntyre said afterward. “I think we did a good job with that.
“After this week is over, I’m going to sit down, sit with my team, and we’re going to think about it and maybe celebrate again because, again, it’s been a lifelong goal of mine.”
