Ali’s introduction proved effective; bowled a perfect delivery that came on the right length and swung back to Rahim from outside the off stump. Attempting a dangerous drive, Rahim misjudged the bounce, resulting in an easy catch by the wicketkeeper. Mohammad Rizwanwho celebrated the crucial wicket with gusto.

Bangladesh take a significant lead in the first innings

Apart from Rahim’s dismissal, Bangladesh posted a formidable 565 runs, bolstered by his outstanding innings and massive contributions from the side. Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Litton Das again Mehidy Hasan Miraz. This works giving Bangladesh a commanding lead of 117 runswhich sets the stage for an interesting challenge for Pakistan in their second innings, as the visitors look to capitalize on their strong position in the match.

At stumps, Pakistan were 23/1 as they lost the last innings wicket of half-centurion Saim Ayub for just one run.
