The much awaited third test in between Pakistan again In England started in Rawalpindi with both teams looking to win the series tied 1-1. England, winning the toss, elected to bat first, aiming to set a tough score. However, it was Pakistan Sajid Khan who immediately made headlines for a stunning delivery that was dropped Harry Brook behind the legs, marking an important time on Day 1.

In the crucial over, Sajid showed his unique spin bowling skills. After two forward defenses and two sweep attempts, Brook misjudged the line of Sajid’s delivery. As he moved on his stumps, the ball swung hard, crashing into the leg stump and leaving Brook bewildered. Sajid’s 6-fer destroys England

Despite a strong start by the openers Zak Crawley again Ben Duckett contributing to a partnership of 50 runs, England soon found themselves in trouble. After reaching 110 runs at lunch, they were hit hard, losing five wickets for just 37 runs. The combination of Sajid’s spin and Pakistan’s relentless swing attack proved huge for England’s middle order. Dismissal of key players like Ben Stokes again Ollie Pope added to their woes, leaving them at 110/5 at the end of the session.

In the end, England were bundled out for 267, with Jamie Smith playing a crucial knock of 89 runs in a row. Sajid ended up taking 6 wickets in an over Noman Ali he scored one and it was enough to explain the narrative that England are struggling against spin. The opening day ended with the hosts losing 3 wickets for 73, trailing England by 194 runs.
