At an interesting conference in Major League Cricket (MLC) between the Seattle Orcas and the San Francisco Unicorns, Shehan Jayasuriya hit the blistering scoop gun Harris Rauf. Despite not being able to get his team over the line, the Unicorns moved into third place, while the Seattle side slipped into last place.

Jayasuriya, the Seattle Orcas’ first baseman, showed courage during a 166-run game against the San Francisco Unicorns. He played an attacking game of 54 runs, which included seven fours and two sixes. The biggest highlight of his innings was a scoop shot to the boundary.
Jayasuriya’s extraordinary shot came in the last over of the powerplay against Rauf when the right-arm pacer was hit for four consecutive fours and sixes, making it a huge over.

Match summary
The Seattle Orcas faced the San Francisco Unicorns in the 13th game of the ongoing MLC 2024 at Church Street Park, Morrisville. After winning the toss, the Seattle Orcas elected to bowl first.
Asked to bat first, San Francisco scored more than 165 points. Thanks to Finn Allena powerful knock of 34 runs, including 2 fours and 3 sixes, and Matthew ShortRapid fire 56 with a strike rate of 175.
In response, the Seattle Orcas were able to get off to a strong start, with their opening batters Ryan Rickelton and Jayasuriya added 76 runs for the first wicket.
After Rickelton’s fall, there was no support for Jayasuriya on the other side, which cost them the match.
