WATCH: Six videos show how well Nelly Korda is playing right now
Nelly Korda has taken the LPGA by storm this year and has been a joy to watch.
These videos from his recent Ford Championship win are worth watching over and over again.
History draws an American woman to the LPGA.
However, his game shows no signs of emotion.
Korda insists that she is not paying attention to becoming the first woman to win on the LPGA Tour six times in a row.
“I’m just here doing what I love and hopefully that’s what naturally grows the game,” Korda told reporters on Wednesday. “I’m not trying to push anything. I hope people see me for who I am and I love this game and I do it naturally.
“At the end of the day, I think that if you do well in your game, that’s what catches people’s attention. I’m not the type of person who tries to push anything or do anything I’m not comfortable with. So I hope I do it naturally and that catches people’s attention.”
Korda took some time off the course recently to stop by the Met Gala and cut a pretty picture.
Speaking about the experience, Korda added: “It was like, so crazy. You’re standing in line getting ready to go on the carpet and you’re like seeing all these people that you used to see on TV shows or in movies and they’re like famous singers and you’re star-struck all the time.
“The best people are watching me. I just looked at everyone’s clothes in silence. I saw Shakira and I just love Shakira. He is very beautiful. Then Jaden Smith was really good. He was the first to greet me and introduce himself. Everyone was surprised.”
Korda earned his second major title and fifth straight win at the Chevron Championship last month and continues to shine.
“To be honest, I have never thought about it because I have been doing a lot in these two weeks. On Monday I had The Met, so I didn’t have much time to think about it,” he continued.
“My track record wasn’t very good in New Jersey. Last year I missed the cut and we played KPMG here last year and that was the cut too. I’m just trying to keep it one shot at a time, see how it goes.
“This golf course is tough. Very little, very little. Rough is very punishing. And it’s wet this year, so it’s even worse. So I just get ahead of myself and take the shot in time. As boring as it sounds or as many times as you’ll hear me say it, that’s a motto and I’m going to stick to it.”
