Wayne Rooney revealed the return plan of Man Utd

The legend of Manchester United, Wayne Rooney, has revealed that he would like to manage this team one day.
Rooney has recently been appointed head coach of Championship side Plymouth Argyle – his first job back in management since being sacked by Birmingham City after three months in charge.
He oversaw just 15 games at Birmingham, losing nine and ultimately contributed to their relegation from League One, dropping to 22nd place after finishing sixth before his arrival at St Andrew’s.
Plymouth knocked out Rooney’s old club Birmingham to secure Championship safety on the final day of the season, with the Pilgrims finishing just one point above the Blues.
Despite a worrying start to his tenure, Rooney dreams of returning to Old Trafford in the dugout. He continued to speak Overlaphe said: “I have always said that I would like to manage Everton or Manchester United.
“Maybe I’d say United, that would be the highlight of managing Manchester United. Everton will be more emotional, the club I support and love, but United will be the highlight.”
In this interview that took place before his appointment in Plymouth, Rooney also explained his plans to re-emphasise on the phone.
“Obviously I want to go back to management. It’s something I want to do and prove myself. Lastly, I’m disappointed with the results but also with the way it ended.”
Rooney has had spells managing Derby County and DC United in Major League Soccer. He won just 25 of 84 games in charge of Derby between November 2020 and June 2022, before his move to the USA, where he managed just 14 wins in 53 games.
