Three possible goals for the Detroit Red Wings
Ken Daniels, broadcaster for the Detroit Red Wings, joined Steve Kouleas and Mick Kern on the Power Play on Sirius XM NHL Network Radio and was asked if he thought the Red Wings would carry three goalies again.

Steve Kouleas: “About Ken Daniels, the face and voice of Red Wing hockey. Last year, the Red Wings could score a goal, but gave up almost as they put in the net with 3.33 and added a goalkeeper. So, is it a three-headed beast? What is the argument or plan going forward?”

Ken Daniels: “Well, Steve talked about that too. They will figure it out as they go along, just like they did last year. And since they had three last year, it works out well for them, actually. And if there are injuries elsewhere, and maybe there is an agreement to be made, but in fact it is Cam Talbot, Alex Lyon, and the question mark is Ville Husso, who played less than nine minutes before Christmas.
The rest of the season, he played just nine minutes. He was injured all year and Lyon was overworked. But now you can add Cam Talbot, who, under a structural team like Los Angeles, was above the Red Wings and was a reference point at the end of last season. Well, I think before the end of the season he will probably be alongside Moritz Seider. I just think so.
But overall, the team’s defense should be better. I think they have two good top lines. Comper has been skating with Kane and Tarasenko, and Comper is responsible on both ends, and the top line that carried Detroit was Larkin and Raymond and DeBrincat, so they are responsible.
They lost the case again. Five out of five, down about 14% with those missing, lost Gostisbehere at the back and was replaced by Gustafsson. You lost Jake Walman. So they’ve lost some offense, but that’s not what worries them so much.
