No, Wrexham will not be playing in the Premier League in 2024. The fans’ favorite club will play in League One when the 2024/25 season starts.

Before Wrexham’s rise to fame, the club spent 15 years out of the English Football League. The Red Dragons were stuck in the National League from 2008 to 2023, and the dream of returning to the EFL seemed futile.

Then in a magical year fit for Hollywood, Wrexham achieved 34 wins, including a historic 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood, in the 2022/23 season which ended with them as National League champions. Even better, the club gained promotion to League Two.

The Welsh club followed up their record-breaking season with another success story that ended with promotion to League One for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

However, in order to reach the Premier League, Wrexham must reach the Championship again then secure promotion to the world’s most competitive league, something the club has never achieved.
