Caitlin Clark is no stranger to performing in front of large audiences.

The top pick in the 2024 WNBA draft has built a reputation for her composure on the ice and on the court.

Crowds followed the Indiana Fever star in the WNBA with an equally intense interest in her entry into the Annika Pro-Am golf tournament in Florida.

With stars such as USA golfer Nelly Korda, and many other LPGA players in attendance, the crowd was treated to the best level of golf in Belleair.

Waiting golf fans lined the fairways to see Clark take his shot.

But it’s safe to say that patrons watching would be much safer on the basketball sidelines.

When draining the three-point shot, Clark rarely misses the mark.

Despite his deflection in the packed crowd, the basketball player saw the funny side of his errant shot.

Jokingly, he laughed it off and took another ball out of his pocket to put it together again.

The buzz about Clark’s appearance at the golf club was palpable, with waves of fans chasing autographs as he warmed up on the course.

After the stroke, he said “I’m sorry” before showing his character, adding, “thanks for kicking, whoever I hit”.

After flagging a fan who was hit by a shot, he signed the ball and exchanged a heart.

Clark has been making unprecedented big endorsements in women’s basketball.

Grand winner Korda sang his praises, saying: “It was great to see how relaxed he was.”

Speaking to the ABC, he added: “With all the media attention he’s received in the last two years, you can see he’s comfortable playing in front of big crowds.”
