WNBA Star Angel Reese to Launch ‘Reese’s Pieces’ Collection

WNBA star and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is releasing a “Reese’s Pieces” clothing line after signing an endorsement deal with The Hershey Company, Nick DePaula reported Wednesday in the Boardroom.

The collection available on Reese’s official website includes shirts, sweatshirts, and hats with the phrase “Reese’s Angel.” Future merchandise releases will add the jersey to the collection, according to DePaula.

According to a press release from The Hershey Company, the collection was designed in collaboration with Athlete Studio, an IP and commercial platform for professional athletes. It contains three special drops:

  1. Angel Reese x Reese Pieces Logo Collection – Featuring eight custom pieces featuring the Reese’s Pieces logo reimagined by Angel Reese, the line includes a cropped tee, t-shirt, hoodie, and hat available in both white and cream.
  2. Angel Reese x Reese’s Basketball jersey – A custom jersey perfect for Angel fans who want to recreate their favorite player and favorite things.
  3. Angel Reese x Reese’s Cup logo collection – This drop includes eight designs, including a custom logo that combines Angel’s style with Reese’s timeless Peanut Butter Cup, giving fans the ultimate way to “crown” their queen and their cup.

“This collection is my ‘Reese’s Pieces,'” Reese said in a statement, “which has always been with me and the design elements bring together my passions – basketball, style, and Reese’s. !”

WNBA star Angel Reese has started a feud with The Hershey Company after calling her fans “Reese’s Patches” in a tweet.

According to TMZ Sports, the two sides began talks earlier this summer, after Angel referred to his fans as “Reese Pieces” following Sky’s win over Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever. Hershey noticed the message was going viral, and the two sides began discussing the partnership.

After that fit, Angel put together a custom painted pair of Reeboks by artist Marvin Baroota featuring Reese’s peanut butter cup around the toe cap and his name emblazoned on the right toe in a “Reese’s Pieces” design.

The logo on the side features the initial “A” and the rolled product wrapper. The original designs are now included in the official collection.

Hershey calls the deal “the first fan-inspired collaboration.” The company has more than 20,000 employees in the US and around the world. It also has more than 90 brand names in nearly 80 countries with annual revenues of more than $11.2 billion.

Reese, 22, has signed endorsement deals with “about a dozen companies” since starting his basketball career at LSU, according to DePaula.

The news comes shortly after Reese became the fastest player in WNBA history to record 20 double-doubles. He scored 19 points and had a game-high 20 rebounds in Sunday’s 86-68 loss to the Phoenix Mercury.
