Xavi Simons continues to be linked with a move

It is not too late to wait for the summer transfer window to open its doors for business, there is one player who will arouse the interest of many clubs, which may include London rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Both the Gunners and Blues will be looking to improve their squads next season, but for completely different reasons.

Mikel Arteta has his Arsenal squad almost where he wants them in terms of personnel and quality throughout the squad.

They came after winning the title last season, and one or two timely additions could see them over the line.

Xavi Simons is wanted by Chelsea, Arsenal and others

Chelsea, on the other hand, need their new manager, Enzo Maresca, to hit the ground running for any hope of success.

Success has eluded them since Todd Boehly took over from Roman Abramovich.

Both clubs appear to be chasing similar targets this summer according to One Football.

Xavi Simons of Paris Saint-Germain is clearly a wanted player as it is not only in the Premier League where clubs are showing interest.

“He continues to be vocal about Paris Saint-Germain’s brilliant young player, Xavi Simons, including new reports linking him to Bayern Munich,” Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside in his exclusive Daily Briefing.

“Guys, there is nothing new and the player will decide what he wants to do after the Euros, it will take time.

“Bayern wants him, it’s true, RB Leipzig too, there are also Premier League clubs interested. Xavi Simons is open for a loan, it’s a real possibility and I expect that to happen.

“It is important to know that PSG have no plans to sell him on a permanent deal.”

Simons began his career at Barcelona’s La Masia Academy, and it seems there are rumors that the Catalan giants could be willing to take the player on loan to La Liga next season.

Whatever happens next, PSG still holds all the aces because they own the player’s registration.

Ultimately, they could decide to sell him if he can’t break into their first team soon, but that’s not on the cards right now.
