Jose Enrique is tipping the Newcastle defender to leave the club this summer

Former Newcastle player Jose Enrique believes the Magpies should offload Miguel Almiron to Saudi Arabia to get rid of FFP restrictions.

According to reports, Newcastle are forced to sell before buying this summer transfer window and Almiron is one of the candidates who could be targeted.

“Miguel Almiron has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, and it’s not the same [Bruno] Guimaraes and [Alexander] Isak, he might be ready to go,” Enrique told Grosvenor Sport, via Chronicle Live.

“Although Almiron is an excellent player for Newcastle with a high level of work, his quality has declined recently. The season before last, he was amazing, but now Newcastle have a chance to get him a good deal,” added Enrique.

“Selling Almiron would help level the financial playing field and provide change capital. Although I would prefer him to stay, he seems to be the best way to go compared to Guimarães and Isak.” – said Enrique.
