Golf Business News – National Club Golfer launches new YouTube-specific brand

National Club Golfer has ‘rebooted and remade’ its YouTube channel under the new title Your Golf.

Building on the success of Hannah Holden NCG channel, the low-end golf media brand says it will enter 2025 with a ‘broader and deeper content offering’.

Your Golf will create video content designed to help the dedicated golfer in all aspects of their game, whether that’s choosing a new driver, learning about the Rules of Golf or fine-scoring the World Handicap System.

The revamped channel will be managed by video editor Chris Vodden, who will work with the wider NCG team to shape content direction and ensure its continued growth.

Jack Backhouse will be the face of Your Golf channel. A PGA Professional with ten years of golf coaching experience, he will bring his expertise in equipment, coaching and working with beginning golfers to the screens.

PGA Professional Jack Backhouse will be the lead presenter on NCG’s revamped YouTube channel, Your Golf

The content offering will have four dimensions:

  • Choose Your Rods is a playlist of videos designed to help the viewer choose their next purchase.
  • I Scratch Golf the playlist will put viewers inside the mind of a professional athlete, explaining how they play and train, how they think and how they use data.
  • The Rules of Golf Explained playlist. Jack will be joined by Steve Carroll, who passed the R&A’s Level 3 Rules of Golf test and has officiated at many high-level junior tournaments.
  • Again Lesson Tee list of new tips. This will bring a regular sequence of instruction for the season, ensuring that students have a complete diet of reliable training content.

Tom Irwin, head of content at NCG, said: “This is an exciting step for our YouTube initiatives. Your Golf will build on the success of Hannah’s great work and take us to a more focused and professional place.

“Many of the best people on YouTube are PGA pros. People like Rick Shiels, Peter Finch, Joe Ferguson and James Robinson are very talented and have a lot of experience and Jack fits that bill. The rebrand reflects the content it offers – information that helps your golfer – whatever type of golfer you are.

“2025 will also see us grow our Top 100 Course content across video and social media with more to be announced as we head into the new year.

“Finally, a big thank you to Hannah for her hard work at National Club Golfer. We wish him the best of luck in his new venture. Maybe he’ll be back as a channel friend in the future – so watch this space.”
