Arne Slot admits Liverpool’s loss to Nottingham Forest is ‘a big setback’

Liverpool coach Arne Slot lamented his team’s lack of opportunities when they lost 1-0 at home against Nottingham Forest.

Slott tasted defeat for the first time as Reds manager, with his men falling at home to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Callum Hudson-Odoi came off the bench and scored the only goal in the match where the hosts had the ball, but they could not convert that advantage into meaningful opportunities.

Liverpool were in terrific form before the international break, keeping clean sheets in all their victories, including a 3-0 thrashing of rivals Manchester United.

But Slot admitted that this blow will hit his team hard.

“There are enough things we could have improved in the Man United game, that’s what we showed them again. We showed them a few good things, and tomorrow will be the same as tomorrow.
