Aussies in IPL – Travis Head, Jake Fraser-McGurk lead the way but how have others measured up

Glenn Maxwell had one of his worst IPLs until he threw himself down in the middle of the tournament to save coach Andy Flower and captain Faf du Plessis from having to make a tough call. He was later called up and dropped again having registered scores of 0, 3, 28, 0, 1, 0, and 4 with a strike rate of 97.29. But as was the case with Maxwell, he was brought back into RCB’s must-win game against CSK and introduced to help his team reach the playoffs. He scored 16 off five balls in the last two overs and took 1 for 25 including the crucial wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad on the first ball of the innings. That boost in confidence could be the very thing that drives him ahead of the playoffs and the T20 World Cup.
