HEARTBREAKER FIGUEROA IN THE RING
Thankfully, the card goes fast. Our next contestants are already sizing each other up as Brandon Figueroa tries to get past Jessie Magdaleno’s banana skin.
Magdaleno starts strong in the first round and lands a right hook, but Jessie gets cut. Cuts abound throughout the night. Hopefully, it won’t affect things too much.

STANIONIS AND THE MAESTRE EXAMINE THEIR WORKS
“I know I said there will be no ring rust, but it’s different when you enter the ring with all the lights,” he said. Eimantas Stanionis. “It was very sad for me to return to the ring after such a long and frustrating time. It wasn’t my best performance. I will come back next time and it is definitely better.
“The power shots were the difference. He was just touching me and I was hitting him with big shots and putting pressure on him all the time. It was his do or die fight and I think he did well and I was fine.
“I just want to work. That is the most important thing. I left for two years and I’m in my country of Lithuania where there is no sparring going. Next camp everything will be better.”
Gabriel Maestre he said: “I felt like Stanionis respected me, it was a tough fight. It didn’t happen the way I wanted the world title, but we gave the fans a show and as I said in the press conference, it’s a show stealer.”
“My corner gave me good advice and encouragement throughout the fight. I really appreciate coach Salas and my whole team.
“I will come back stronger. There is no doubt about it. I can’t wait to see what’s next.”

STANIONIS BEAT MAESTRE UD12
We’re going the full 12 rounds, and the results are in. Our three judges gave the scorecards 119-109 (Chris Migliore), 118-110 (Don Trella), and 117-111 (Steve Weisfeld). There was no real doubt about the winner, although Migliore’s card seemed a little harsh on Maestre’s efforts.
A really good, honest piece of the WBA title. The body trade, in particular, was very good. Stanionis’ strong left jab and low defense helped him. A real rust shaker following the absence of his extended ring.
There is no shame in Maestre, who is defeated for the first time as Father Time hunts him down. This may be his only chance to win big.

THE MAESTRE COMES IN POWER
We entered the championship rounds here in Las Vegas. Eimantas Stanionis is still grinding. The Maestre touches the body constantly.
Maestre runs out of cash on those checks as a left hook lands between Stanionis’ fists. A possible twist late in the story?

WHO WILL PROCEED BETTER?
It’s a battle of wills as we hit the middle ground. Stanionis promised to bring Mexican style, and so far, he is delivering.
A few questions need to be answered as the battle continues. Stanionis has been out of action for almost two years, while Maestre is 37 years old. Strength and power will be tested.
01:30:26
TWO SINGERS LOOKING TO STAY HEAVY
Stanionis starts strong, but Maestre’s uppercut works well. Two very similar boxers.
Our referee, Robert Hoyle, said, “Don’t do this to me” when he gave his instructions before the fight.
MC Jimmy Lennon Jr announced judges such as Chris Migliore, Don Trella and Steve Weisfeld that are unique to our list. We will look into that as this goes on.

STANIONIS VS. YOU START THE MAESTRE
Eimantas Stanionis is back in the ring for the first time. His former opponent, Gabriel Maestre, is in the opposite corner.
Two upside down bangers who love to duke it out. It should be fun.

RAMOS IS BACK, GETS A BIG KO
The finishing time was recorded at 2-56 in the ninth round. Ramos wins by TKO. Great job by Harvey Dock, who came in at the right time.
There was no comment from Ramos after the fight. Maybe they took him to sew a square.
Shout out to Las Vegas-based Gonzalez, who was very hard and timed out of his career.
Max DeLuca, Glenn Feldman, and David Hudson were the unused judges. With the prelims over, the pay-per-view segment is next.

BET ENDS ON ROUND 9
If there is long blood on camera, you know someone is having a hard time with it.
Although it is Ramos’ blood, Gonzalez ends up being suspended. The ubiquitous Ismael Salas gave him a stern talking to in the corner before the ninth.
However, even the Cuban legend was watching as his man was taken down, beat the count a bit, and was beaten next.
While the final burst was impressive, the first left hand he dropped was a cracker.
00:36:32
RAMOS IS SUFFERING
An accidental head shot leads to a continuous flow of blood to the side of Ramos’ left eye. It’s bad.
Gonzalez is tough, but he’s tanking right now. There is no doubt that he has a scanner on him.
00:30:20
‘IT’S MIND NOW!’
Mauro Ranallo enjoys the performance of Jesus Ramos, who comes out throwing bombs early in the morning.
Can Gonzalez do more than stay within touching distance? That is the question.

BOTH MEN HIT RD4
Both men draw the body. Ramos has always been a physical boxer and this fight is no different.
Gonzalez is coming off a good win over Guido Emmanuel Schramm and has gone the distance with Magomed Kurbanov. Ramos, on the other hand, lost against Erickson Lubin.
00:10:18
JESUS RAMOS IN ACTION
The great southpaw Jesus Ramos is in the ring against Johan Gonzalez, who is regarded as the best fighter. The Venezuelan’s track record suggests he certainly can.
Body hunter Ramos is looking to put his first career loss behind him. Third party Harvey Dock was Haney-Garcia’s attorney, and he may be looking to put that performance behind him.

VITO MIELNICKI JR DEFEAT RONALD CRUZ 10 ROUNDS
It’s over and Vito Mielnicki Jr wins the fight with scores of 99-89 (Chris Migliore), 96-92 (Don Trella Sr) and 98-90 (David Sutherland).
That was a good test for Mielnicki Jr. Even though Ronald Cruz wasn’t in danger of winning the most rounds, or the most minutes of individual rounds, he hit hard and never stopped throwing.
Going above and beyond for 21-year-old Mielnicki Jr from New Jersey, who described the win as a great learning experience.
“This is the first time I’ve been cut. I mean it’s a little hissing, I mean it’s a breeze. I’m still young, I’m still growing,” said the winner.
23:34:28
MIELNICKI JR SHUTOUT?
Cruz put it in ‘White Magic’ which is well suited to the cut. Mielnicki’s body shots went down nicely in the seventh round.
Veteran trainer Ronnie Shields urges Vito forward and encourages a physical attack. PBC scorer Larry Hazzard awarded Mielnicki every round, including several strikes.

CRUZ DOWN SECOND
It goes from bad to worse for Cruz. He’s down at the end of the fourth from another left hook, this one to the head.
Mielnicki has turned into a young player and has lost his slate, but he is hitting hard. Especially at the end of rounds. Cruz needs to open up.
23:21:38
CRUZ IS IN CONTROL
It was Cruz’s first fight in Las Vegas and he was knocked down in the third round by a left hook. Referee Robert Hoyle counted it as an official knockdown even though the actual punch landed behind the bar. Melnicki is the boss but is cut above the left eye.
