Chelsea’s transfer chiefs are divided over their pursuit of the Arsenal star

Chelsea are reportedly interested in Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale but there are differences of opinion about him among the decision-makers at Stamford Bridge, according to Simon Phillips.
Ramsdale looked like a solid player when he was first-choice at the Gunners, but he lost his place to David Raya last season, meaning his future lies elsewhere.
The England international will be looking to return to regular starting action to ensure he stays in Gareth Southgate’s plans, and may have better luck with a move to Chelsea.
Phillips reports that the Blues are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, and Ramsdale is one of the names to watch in the coming weeks and months.
However, given that perhaps not everyone at CFC is sold on the 26-year-old, he is probably not a realistic prospect, so it will be interesting to see if other clubs join the race for his signature.
Ramsdale transfer: What does Fabrizio Romano say about the Arsenal goalkeeper’s future?

Talking to Ramsdale in his Daily Briefing column at the beginning of this week, Fabrizio Romano said: “There are players coming out to clear at Arsenal this summer, and the situation of the goalkeeper should be looked at as they want to find a solution for Aaron Ramsdale.
“Although there are some who have entered the area like Justin Bijlow who has been linked with the Gunners from other sources, my understanding is that no decision has been taken on this yet.
“It is expected that Ramsdale will definitely leave, but there is no progress from any team at the moment, so it is not clear how much Arsenal will get for him. Before someone comes into the role as David Raya’s backup, they want to make sure they get the best solution for Ramsdale.”
