Cristiano Ronaldo: Records follow me
Cristiano Ronaldo couldn’t resist bragging on social media after breaking another record on Monday.
The Portuguese striker became the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer in a single season after scoring twice in Al-Nassr’s 4-2 win over Al-Ittihad to take his tally to 35.
That meant that Ronaldo passed Abderrazak Hamdallah’s mark of Morocco which had stood for five years. It is the fourth league in which he has scored the top goal in one season after doing so in England (with Manchester United), Spain (with Real Madrid) and Italy (with Juventus).
He is also the leading scorer in international football with 128 goals in 206 games.

After that, he posted on social media and said: “I don’t follow records, records follow me.”
The 39-year-old has scored 64 goals in 69 games for Al-Nassr but his efforts were not enough to give them the title as they finished second in the second year on the trot, 14 points behind champions Al-Hilal.
