Every Man Utd player competing at Euro 2024

After a troubled domestic season, a select group of Manchester United players will now focus on international football with the aim of helping their countries to success. Euro 2024.

Despite his lackluster season at Manchester United, Christian Eriksen returned to compete against Denmark at the Euros just three years after suffering a heart attack on the pitch while representing his country.

Rasmus Højlund, on the other hand, finished his 2023/24 season strongly with 16 goals in all competitions, including five in the Champions League. Denmark will need him to hit the mark if they want to compete with England in Group C.

In England

Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw he is the only United defender called up for Euro 2024 after Harry Maguire could not recover from a calf injury in time to compete, and he has a lot to prove in terms of fitness.

Still recovering from a nagging hamstring injury, Shaw could very well be England’s starting left-back if Southgate had his way – that could still happen later in the tournament as he continues to strengthen his fitness.

Kobbie Mainoo he has had a whirlwind season at United, entering the England selection’s thoughts during the March break. The 19-year-old has done enough to convince Southgate of his quality, although it remains to be seen how much game time he will be given.

In Portugal

Bruno Fernandes will likely start in all of Portugal’s matches at Euro 2024, having played in all ten of their qualifying matches.

Portugal have great strength in depth, especially in defence, so there is no guarantee that Diogo Dalot will be the default starter at fullback. However, his ability to play on both sides is a key factor for manager Roberto Martinez.

Altay Bayindir made Turkey’s 35-man squad for Euro 2024 despite playing just once for United in the 2023/24 season.

The former Fenerbahce first-choice goalkeeper has nine international caps under his belt, which should stand him in good stead when Vincenzo Montella cuts his squad down to the last 26 players.
