Fantasy Baseball Streamers for Week 7 at Razzball.com

After a bad Week 5, we bounced back with a strong Week 6. Most of our pitching streamers performed well, while hitters had mixed results. We only had four boys that we liked last week, but we’re back to our usual spread of five this week. There are also plenty of teams with quality matchups, so let’s start by looking at that!

Popular Team Games

7 Games

Chicago Cubs (at ATL, vs. PIT)

Houston Astros (vs. OAK, vs. MIL)

Philadelphia Phillies (at NYM, vs. NYM, vs. WAS)

Pittsburgh Pirates (at MIL, at CHC)

Seattle Mariners (vs. KC, BAL)

Texas Rangers (vs. CLE, vs. LAA)

6 Games

Arizona Diamondbacks (vs. CIN, vs. DET)

Atlanta Braves (vs. CHC, vs. SD)

Chicago White Sox (vs. WAS, NYY)

Detroit Tigers (vs. MIA, at ARI)

Kansas City Royals (at SEA, vs. OAK)

Los Angeles Angels (vs. STL, at TEX)

St. Louis Cardinals (vs. LAA, vs. BOS)

San Diego Padres (vs. COL, at ATL)

Throwing Streamers

Reese Olson, DET (vs. MIA)

Detroit has developed one of the best bats in baseball, and Olson is a part of that success. Despite posting an unspectacular 0-4 record, Olson posted a 2.52 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. That includes one six-run stinker, with Olson posting a 1.29 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in his other six starts. That kind of form is hard to ignore as he gets a home game against Miami. Comerica Park is not only the most open park in baseball, but the Marlins are ranked 29th in OBP, OPS, and wOBACON while sitting 25th in runs scored and 26th in xwOBA. All of that could have Olson in a good position to grab his first win again, revealing him to enter this matchup as a -150 or so favorite.

Randy Vasquez, SD (vs. COL)

I’d be lying to you if I told you I knew a lot about Vasquez but we’ll use any terrific pitcher against the Rockies. Let’s start there because Colorado ranks 25th in OBP, 29th in K, and last in xwOBA. That’s even scarier when you look at the Rockies road numbers, sitting 29th or 30th in earned runs and OPS over the last three years! We all know Coors Field changes things for this team and it was the only bad showing Vasquez had this year. He has allowed one run in each of his two starts, producing a solid 3.85 xFIP so far this season. That’s why he’s one of Streamonator’s favorite broadcasters of the week!

Average Stream: $33.4

Andrew Heaney, TEX (vs. LAA)

We had Heaney on this topic last week, and we’re going straight back to the source after a solid show. The lefty allowed just one run in six innings in that start against Oakland, totaling a 3.38 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over his last four innings. We’ve seen this guy pitch like this for weeks at a time, producing a 3.10 ERA and 1.09 WHIP over the last two full seasons! We like that since he has a revenge game against the Angels, who have a lineup without Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Anthony Rendon, and Luis Rengifo. That’s funny because Rengifo has arguably been his best bet left, sitting 22nd in K’s and 21 runs scored since Trout went down.

Streaming Average: $19.9

Trevor Williams, WAS (at CWS)

This one scares me because I have been dealing with Williams in DFS for years. We have to adjust when it comes to fantasy baseball, though, and it’s hard to ignore what Williams is doing right now. He has a 4-0 record with a 1.96 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. He’s been even better of late, registering a 0.86 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over his last four starts. He did that damage to teams like the Astros, Rangers, and Orioles, but the White Sox are the worst team in baseball. They ranked last in runs scored, OBP, OPS and wOBA. We may not use Williams all year but you can’t shut him out in this game the way he’s doing right now.

Mason Black, SF (vs. COL)

Here’s another home run against the Rockies. We’ve talked about Colorado having one of the worst offenses in baseball, but it’s even worse when they’re on the road. In fact they rarely reach five runs whenever they play in San Fran, ORACLE Park is one of the best parks in sports. That’s good for a prospect like this one, with Black amassing a 2.92 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 31 percent K rate in the minors over the past three years. A horrible road start against Philly might scare people, but just look at this Streamonator rating to see if this is one of the best streamers of the season!

Hitting Streamers

Jon Singleton, HOU (vs. OAK, vs. MIL)

It is hard to believe that Singleton is in this article because he has been out of the league for years. In fact, he has only played 81 games since 2014! That’s ten years now, but it seems Singleton is a late bloomer! It took Jose Abreu’s slump to get him in this spot, but Singleton has played every day since. He has started the last 10 games for the Stros, hitting the fifth most recently. He earned that impressive spot with his recent play, posting a .576 SLG and .883 OPS in that span. That’s scary because getting on base is the only thing missing, but this is a guy who had a .378 OBP over his entire minor league career! Not to mention he’s up against five good players in this seven game week!

Tommy Pham, CWS (vs. WAS, NYY)

Umm, having Singleton and Pham in this article makes me feel like it’s 2014. Either way, these two veterans are on the mend, with Pham putting up a .308 AVG, .481 SLG, and .814 OPS since signing with Chicago a few weeks ago. That made Tommy an everyday player, second or best hitter since he was signed. That prominent position in the program makes him an attractive option when checking out these stats because he will face the remaining four this week! Pham has a .379 OBP, .359 wOBA, and .833 OPS against lefties throughout his career and could go from being one of our shortstops to a great player!

SAGNOF (Saves/Steals No Face)

Theft Specialists

Luis Garcia Jr (WAS)

Garcia has been quietly killing it lately, registering a .392 OBP and .885 OPS over his last 20 games. More importantly, he has six steals in that span, hitting the heart of this Nats lineup. Two of those came in his last four games, including a 1.454 OPS over his last five games!

Jonny DeLuca (TB)

DeLuca has been playing every day recently, batting second in the team’s most recent loss. He has a 1.085 OPS but has a steal in two of his seven games. Tampa is run-happy, and if he starts performing at this rate, DeLuca should pick up more steals this week.

Keeps Professionals

Alex Lange (DET)

Jason Foley has been sluggish lately, while Lange has been on fire. Lange has a 0.64 ERA and 1.14 WHIP, collecting the team’s last save. He also showed up with a four-run ninth inning a few days ago and may be in the process of stealing the job from Foley.

Trevor Megill (MIL)

The Brewers are working on their third closer right now, but Megill looks like a guy. Abner Uribe was sent to Triple-A, and Joel Payambs was demoted to a setup role. That led to Megill picking up four saves in his last five games, allowing one run all year!
