Golf Business News – Canada’s oldest club appoints Mackenzie and Ebert to develop course

Victoria Golf Club in Vancouver has appointed British architecture firm Mackenzie & Ebert to create a master plan for the renovation of Canada’s oldest and most historic golf course.

Tom Mackenzie and Martin Ebert are renowned for their expertise and innovation in golf course design. Their impressive portfolio includes roles as architects of 22 of the world’s top 100 courses outside the USA, as listed by Golf Digest in 2022. Their extensive experience includes working at eight Open Championship venues and their recently awarded renovation of Hamilton Golf. & Country Club, host of the recent Canadian Open.

“Our decision to partner with Mackenzie and Ebert was inspired by their exceptional track record and deep understanding of oceanfront golf courses,” said Richard Ingle, General Manager of Victoria Golf Club, founded in 1893 and located north of the city.
