Golf Business News – Inrange® Launches World Tour to Bring ‘Range Golf as a Game’ to Players

With the explosion of golf being played off the course, golf clubs are looking for ways to accommodate this influx of players to their venues.
The launch of the Inrange® World Tour is the first step taken by the radar technology company in bringing to life their vision that Range Golf can be a sport in its own right – with major events, tours, live shooting events and more. This runs into every player’s competitive DNA and bleeds into Inrange®’s core belief: that the driving range should be a place where players can practice and compete (both leading to improved players’ game and overall experience.)
Inrange® players, across 6 continents, now have the chance to compete to win over $25,000 in prizes. Most importantly, the competition is designed so that everyone can participate and use the trademarked Inrange Handicap™ to fly the field in 6 categories, including an all-female category. The virtual course competition will feature the likes of Royal Lytham & St. Annes, Valderama, Pebble Beach and more.
When asked about the tour, Inrange® brand owner Will Kerr said: “Some people can’t take the time for a full round or golf tour, that’s why we bring them a tour. In one hour on the range, a player can log in and compete with hundreds of thousands of other Inrange® players. the property owners have been looking for years.” Will Kerr, Product Lead at Inrange®
Current Inrange® partner, Matt Stilwell, General Manager, Horton Golf Park, had this to say about the launch of the tour at their venue: “We’ve always wanted our players to be able to compete more on the range – and now they will. This is very exciting and we look forward to seeing how our players stack up against others – and the tour allows us to monetize every other area of our business, from training to IWT discounts in the pro shop etc. We can’t wait for this event to end.”
To learn more about IWT and follow progress along the way, Inrange® has launched a Player Portal with a dedicated tour event page – you can visit it here.
