Golf Business News – TearDrop launches new putter range with Roll-Face technology

TearDrop is releasing a new range of high-performance putters featuring the company’s Roll-Face technology – a unique design that helps make the ball roll faster and avoids the swing and bounce that compromises both accuracy and distance control in many other brands.

First established in 1992, TearDrop enjoyed great success with their putters on the professional tour and were equally popular with novice golfers behind their precision mill and unique Roll-Face technology. The latest TearDrop lineup includes three models that look set to capture the imagination of a new generation of golfers.

Featuring a stylish, anti-glare black oxide finish, the new range includes a single blade putter, the TD-1, and two mallet designs, the TD-5 and TD-7.

TearDrop’s new TD-1 and TD-5 putters

I TD-1 it’s a classic, toe-weighted blade putter with a crank hosel that has a limited amount of toe hang and is perfect for the player who wants some degree of face rotation. The back flange line and high definition edge alignment aid make this classic blade a breeze to fit into the hole; while the machined, radial surface designed with friction grooves produces a smooth, consistent roll.

I TD-5 is a modern take on the classic round mallet design. The multi-material construction of steel and aluminum helps to increase the MOI for more forgiveness. The balanced face shaft offers the least amount of toehang and will suit the player who wants the least amount of face rotation while the long back line and high leading edge alignment make the TD-5 a breeze to follow through the hole. The machine face, which is a radial design with frictional grooves produces a smooth and consistent roll.

The TD-7 model is a very large mallet with strong visual alignment aids

I TD-7 The large mallet design is the ultimate in forgiveness and planning. The multi-material steel and aluminum construction and winged design help maximize MOI for maximum forgiveness. A face-balanced shaft gives the toe less hang and is suitable for the golfer who wants a lower degree of face rotation. Three-lip back lines and high-definition edge alignment make the TD-7 incredibly easy to get into the hole; while the machined, radial face designed with friction grooves produces a smooth and consistent roll all the way to the hole.

All three styles are available in left and right hand options with shaft lengths ranging from 31 and 36 inches. The RRP for each style is £239.99
