KKR, SRH or RR? Brett Lee and Tillakaratne Dilshan predict the winner of IPL 2024

With the winner at the end of the 17th season yet to be decided, cricket experts have started sharing their predictions. Former Australian pacer Brett Lee and former Sri Lankan cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan both revealed their choice of subject.
Lee had initially pinned his hopes on it Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), but were eliminated by Rajasthan in the Eliminator. Thinking about the remaining teams, Lee identified the Knight Riders as the team that will win the title this season.
“I picked RCB at the top and I was disappointed when they were eliminated last night. But if you look at the paper and the way they are now, it will be difficult to beat KKR. I think they are probably the team that deserves to finish in first place. They will advance to the final on Sunday, so they will be very difficult to beat,” said Lee as quoted by ANI.

Tillakaratne Dilshan reveals his choice
Echoing Lee’s sentiments, Dilshan also said that KKR are favourites, citing their consistent performances throughout the season. He mentioned that although Rajasthan have shown moments of brilliance, their inconsistency could be their downfall.
“I think, personally, doing that KKR did well in the whole tournament. RR played very well, they played very good cricket. But if you walk in the middle, they slowly rise from the ground. But KKR performed consistently, playing in all three departments, bowling, batting and failure. Hopefully, my opinion, I think, KKR will win this IPL,” Dilshan said.
As SRH and RR prepare to face each other in Qualifier 2, both teams know that a place in the final is at stake. The Sunriers will look to bounce back from their recent loss to the Knight Riders in Qualifier 1, while Rajasthan will aim to build on their momentum following a thrilling win against RCB.
