Leicester City snapped up De Cordova-Reid on a free transfer

Leicester City have signed Bobby De Cordova-Reid from Fulham on a three-year deal.

The 31-year-old is moving to the King Power Stadium on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract.

De Cordova-Reid will bring valuable experience to the newly-promoted Foxes, having made 129 top-flight appearances with Fulham and Cardiff City, and becoming new manager Steve Cooper’s first summer signing.

De Cordova-Reid told the club’s website: “Turning around here was a special moment, looking around and seeing the infrastructure. It has that wow factor. It sounds good. I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait to continue.

“I had a good chat with the manager, he told me the idea of the team. I talked to him a few times and he was clear about what he wanted and what he saw in me. He believes in me and it suits me well.”

De Cordova-Reid will be absent from the start of pre-season training on Monday as he has been representing Jamaica in the Copa America and is on leave.

Once linked with Leicester, there could be further additions to the squad with the club reportedly close to signing Chelsea midfielder Michael Golding, Atalanta midfielder Caleb Okoli and making Abdul Fatawu’s loan deal permanent.
