OMAHA – In front of a crowd of 13,300 fans, most of whom wore Nebraska red, the Huskers beat the Penn State Nittany Lions 2-1 to win the 2024 Big Ten Baseball Tournament. It was Nebraska’s first championship in baseball since joining the league in 2012, three runner-up finishes, and the win earned the Big Ten’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
With the score tied 1-1 heading into the ninth inning, left fielder Gabe Swansen hit a double out of the gap in left field.[…]
