Pakistani launcher Abdullah Shafiqwho was in excellent form in this series, was dismissed for a duck. Taskin, swinging a long backhand delivery to the right hand, tempts Shafique into a forward prod. However, the batsman’s bat came down at an angle, leaving a gap between the bat and the pad. The ball crashed high on the off-stump, sending Shafique packing.
