Palace table to sign £100k-a-week Premier League striker
After completing the signing of defender Chadi Riad, Crystal Palace will once again enter the market to sign a new striker.
They are eyeing a move for the Premier League striker who was not given enough playing time by his club last season.
According to Caught Offside sources, Palace are ready to make a bid for Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson.
Palace plan to donate around £8.45 million. The Eagles have even begun negotiations over a deal, but the Gunners want £21.1 million for the 24-year-old.
Palace are facing competition from other London clubs West Ham United and Fulham to sign the Arsenal striker.
Nelson appeared in 15 Premier League games last season for the Gunners and finished the season without a goal or assist.
His future at the Emirates Stadium is uncertain and he could agree to leave as his career has not progressed under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.
Nelson should consider a move to Crystal Palace
In order for him to improve and become a better player, he needs the support and confidence of the manager, which is clearly lacking at Arsenal.
Nelson has played 89 games for the Gunners, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists.
It looks like he is edging closer to a move away from Arsenal and this summer he can decide where his long-term future lies.
Palace boss Oliver Glasner has turned in young players such as Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise and that should give Nelson the confidence to consider a move to Selhurst Park.
