The Dortmund manager wants to break Real Madrid’s run
Edin Terzic says it’s time to break Real Madrid’s hold on the Champions League, and he wants his team Borussia Dortmund to do it.
Madrid have won five of the last ten titles, are unbeaten in eight Champions League finals and are seeking 15.th overall win.
Dortmund, by contrast, have lifted the trophy only once, 27 years ago, and lost their last appearance against Bayern Munich, who also came to Wembley Stadium in 2013.

Terzic told Dortmund’s final press conference in Germany ahead of Saturday’s final in London that they need to leave confident they can cause a shock.
“We must have faith that we can achieve great things,” he said. “We have to invest everything to bring the trophy back to Dortmund. It’s been too long. It’s been a long time since we’ve been as close as we are.”
Madrid are firm favorites with the bookies but Terzic insisted: “Our aim is to win the Champions League and to do that you have to beat the champions – the absolute champion awaits us historically.
“(Real Madrid) has had this experience 14 times, won it five times in the last 10 years. But anything can happen in one game.
“If anyone has shown that a lot can be gained in one game, it was us, especially this season in this competition. Our goal is to always postpone one game.
“Eight Champions League finals and they have never lost, but what is important is not what happened in the last eight, what is important is the next one and we are facing it. It’s time for us to break away.”
