The Firebirds shut out the Wranglers, shut out the series | TheAHL.com

The Coachella Valley Firebirds advanced to the division finals thanks to a 3-0 victory over Calgary in Game 4 of their best-of-five series on Friday night.

The Firebirds have won three in a row after dropping the series opener, and now face the Ontario Reigns starting Wednesday.

Chris Driedger made 31 saves to get the series-clinching shutout, holding a Wranglers offense to 12 goals in the first three games.

Cale Fleury (the first of his playoff career) and Shane Wright (the first of the series) put the home Firebirds ahead 2-0 in the first period, too Devin Shore goal for the third game in a row. Cameron Hughes found Coachella Valley assistants.

Dustin Wolf finished with 29 saves in Calgary.
