The full guide to BBC and ITV broadcasts

It attracts a summer football feast Euro 2024 on the horizon.

The continent’s best players will gather in Germany for a month of fun and excitement, but it’s not just on the pitch where the battles will take place.

The BBC and ITV will once again share TV rights for the upcoming tournament, and the UK’s two biggest broadcasters will go head-to-head in the battle to provide the best coverage. The two have put together a strong cast with the aim of one-upping their rivals and fans are ready to enjoy – or endure – the sight of a line-up of familiar faces this summer.

Here are the voices and faces of BBC and ITV’s Euro 2024 coverage.

The BBC team will once again be led by Gary Linekernow in his 25th year as their football anchor, with Gabby Logan, Mark Chapman again Alex Scott and taking roles as presenters.

They will be joined by an esteemed panel of experts signed up by the BBC for Euro 2024. The usual suspects – Micah Richards, Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand again Ashley Williams – will be in Germany with the manager of Brentford Thomas Frank and former West Ham manager David Moyes.

Moyes is one of the few Scotsmen the BBC has discovered, and is currently Scotland Women’s captain Rachel Corsie again James McFadden set to provide their information during the Scottish campaign. The charismatic Ellen White will return to the studio again, with Cesc FabregasPlymouth’s new manager Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart again Frank Lampard to form a whole group of punditry.

Guy Mowbray he has worked as a senior commentator for the BBC for more than a decade and is likely to be the voice of BBC England’s sports this summer. Steve Wilson again Jonathan Pearce are among other well-known leading commentators, while Martin Keown, Jermaine Jenas again Danny Murphy they are on co-comm duty.

The BBC also has an extensive Radio 5 Live team this summer providing additional coverage between games.

BBC Euro 2024 team

ITV’s Euro 2024 team is much smaller than the BBC’s.

Just two great, stalwart presenters Mark Pougatch and the universe Laura Woods. They will be joined by nine selected experts, including a former referee Christina Unkelwho will be taking on the role of refereeing commentator for ITV this summer.

ITV have done an excellent job of establishing a balance with their punditry team. They sent the BBC Ange Postecoglousignature, and an Australian to be a TV hit. Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl is set to provide sound strategic analysis, while the popularity of Roy Keane, Graeme Souness again Gary Neville will undoubtedly provide a soundbite or two.

Eniola Aluko, Ian Wright again Karen Carney and they are part of the inspection team.

Sam Matterface returns as ITV’s lead commentator for the Euros, albeit with the absurd voice of Clive Tyldesley will be heard again this summer. Lee Dixon, Andros Townsend and the most popular Ally McCoist will serve as the broadcaster’s three commentators.
