The seven most popular styles of golf among professionals on the PGA Tour

The equipment used by professionals on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf varies greatly.

However, these are the brands that dominate professional bags.

The subject

Titleist produces a number of clubs, balls, shafts and other equipment that seem to be popular with the pros.

Their Vokey design wedges are among the most popular clubs available on the PGA Tour.

Some popular clubs include various TSR3 and TSR2 drivers with their T-100 irons and they manufacture Scotty Cameron putters.

Callaway

Callaway also makes up a large portion of the professional market.

Known for its drivers, it’s perhaps surprising that the Callaway Jaws Raw wedges are the most popular clubs among tour players.

The Odyssey brand is often considered separate from Callaway, but the putter range is produced under the Callaway Golf umbrella.

PING

PING made a statement with their G430 LST driver on the professional tour.

Some versions of that driver are more popular with the average player but the low-spin option gets more distance for better ball-strikers.

They also meet the needs of many professionals with prototype putters that are rarely available to the public.

TaylorMade

TaylorMade has several PGA Tour players using its Qi10 drivers, earning them a large professional following.

Various versions of Spider Tour putters are also common in PGA Tour bags.

TaylorMade supplies Scottie Scheffler with his P7TW irons and he uses Spider Tour X green.

Srixon

Srixon has made a name for itself as a supplier of world-class players’ instruments.

The ZX7 MKII irons come from several top bags including Shane Lowry.

They also make the very popular ZX5 MKII driver.

Mizuno

Japanese manufacturer Mizuno holds a place as one of the best iron makers, but in recent times they want to increase their share of the driver market.

Grayson Murray and Keith Mitchell both came to use the ST-X 230 off the tee.

Their T24 and T22 wedge range is also popular with PGA Tour professionals.

PXG

PXG makes the incredibly named 0311 Sugar Daddy wedges with several PGA Tour pros on the side.

They make top drivers, irons and putters too, with Eric Cole perhaps the player who is the biggest fan of the growing brand.

The 0311 Black Ops pilot is one that few players have come to love but not many have embraced.
