CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. North Carolina State’s season was on display, if not decided, on Friday night at Disharoon Park. The ups and downs of the 2024 season were accompanied by nine hard-fought innings that ultimately resulted in a shutout as the Wolfpack won 7-5 in the series opener at No. 10 Virginia.
The outlook was as bright as it could be for the Wolfpack early on. A top 15 preseason starting rotation that includes rising second basemen and utilitymen Dom Fritton and Shane Van Dam and seasoned veterans Matt Willadsen, Sam Highfill and Logan Whitaker.[…]
