What is the noise on Twitter?
Tyrese Haliburton says he rolled his ankle in the fourth quarter. He says his injury is “all over the body” before laughing. Nice to have a day between games before game 4. – 10:23 PM
Carlisle says Haliburton’s aggressiveness was key in the game. He said he was scared last night but added that it will be difficult to stop him on Sunday. – 10:04 PM
Andrew Nembhard’s putback on a 3 from 31ft was the difference … in a Nesmith offensive rebound.
And Turner had a lot of room to chase.
The Pacers won 111-106, outscoring the Knicks 22-8 over the last 9:45. Haliburton scored 35.
Next: G4 Sun. at 3:30 p.m. – 9:43 PM
The Pacers won 111-106. They took Game 3 and the series is now 2-1. They ended up closing out a tight game in this series.
Haliburton was the best with 35 points. Game 4 on Sunday in this building. – 9:41 PM
Carlisle may have to get Haliburton out of there. He just wanders around. Lack of confidence to push that ankle. – 9:36 PM
The Knicks are trying to get Haliburton to guard Brunson. The Pacers use show-and-recover, as well as switch hitting, to keep Haliburton out of that matchup.
🔊 keep hearing the strategy going on in the game. pic.twitter.com/KPbrCh2anX – 9:13 PM
Tyrese Haliburton has sprained his right ankle and is limping with 7:09 left. He has a game high of 35pts. – 9:12 PM
Sacramento fans are used to watching the former Kings exit the playoffs but it’s never been easy.
Tyrese Haliburton and Donte DiVincenzo are going tonight. – 9:11 PM
It is swept and played. The Knicks led 90-85 over the Pacers entering the fourth quarter.
The Knicks won the 3rd quarter, 32-22.
DiVincenzo: 6/8 3PT, 32 points
Haliburton: 11/20 FG, 28 points
I don’t think the Pacers will have any confidence going into Game 4 if they lose tonight. – 8:58 PM
Haliburton and DiVincenzo missed being teammates in Sacramento by just a few days. Apparently it would have made Splash Brothers the second best backyard shooting range in Northern California. – 8:50 p.m
The Knicks got the game close, and then the Pacers made another run. They lead again by 11. Siakam and Haliburton make it happen here. – 8:42 PM
The incredible confidence tonight is not Haliburton with 23 points in the first half, but the archer on the court at halftime shooting arrows while separating and hanging on one hand outside the back to catch an errant shot in the front kill. – 8:18 PM
Indiana held on to a 63-58 lead at halftime after 23 Haliburton points. I # Kits shooting .538 overall and .615 from deep, so it’s fair to wonder if that #Pedestrians lead is stable. – 8:15 PM
Tyrese Haliburton scored 23pts (five 3s) to help the Pacers take a lead at halftime … but only by five: 63-58 v the underdog Knicks.
It sounds like a lot.
They shot 55%. Nesmith did a better job than Brunson. Good guard play from NYK, especially DiVincenzo (15). – 8:15 PM
Crazy, broken play, but Siakam scores just before halftime. The Pacers went up 63-58 at halftime, their third lead at halftime in the series. Haliburton with 23 points, Siakam with 12 points, Turner with 12 points. – 8:14 PM
This first phase was good. It’s great to see Tyrese Haliburton cooking like this again. – 8:09 PM
It looks like Haliburton survived its push from behind in Game 2. – 8:07 PM
The COVID season Burks showed up in the second quarter but Haliburton dominated by 23 points.
Pacers 55, Knicks 49. – 8:07 PM
Tyrese Haliburton *checks notes* 23 points here in the first half. The Pacers lead the Knicks, 55-49. Haliburton is 5/10 from 3-point range. Blame it on him, as Thibs likes to say. – 8:06 PM
23 points and looking at Tyrese Haliburton, who just screamed. My God, what is half to him. Pacers up 6. – 8:06 PM
“You can’t play with me!” Haliburton screams after hitting a 3 to get to 16 points. You can hear it so far. Pacers up 43-38. – 7:55 PM
Haliburton had 16 points and calmly defined every shot for the Knicks. – 7:54 PM
LOL Aaron Nesmith was celebrating a steal right before halftime and the Knicks got it next to him, and he didn’t even notice. Isaiah Jackson saves the day by stopping at that point – which could have looked a lot worse than it ended up being.
The Pacers are up 28-20 after one. 10 Haliburton points. – 7:38 PM
A lot has been said about how Haliburton feels in early games. Some of the years he does in the paint require a ton of balance, and he’s been pretty prefect in everything. 10 points already. – 7:35 PM
Just a fast, strong start the Pacers need, led by Haliburton (8pts).
Remember, they weren’t a fast-starting team.
They went ahead 20-8, Jalen Brunson was on the bench and didn’t look comfortable after an 0/3 start (guarded by Nesmith). – 7:29 PM
Haliburton corner 3 and Pacers lead 9-4. They seem focused on the defensive end to start this one. – 7:19 PM
When asked about it, Josh Hart said it was ‘disrespectful’ for Pacers’ Rick Carlisle to suggest Hart intentionally hit Tyrese Haliburton in the area of Haliburton’s injury during Game 2 – 11:05 AM
Tyrese Haliburton’s Pacers win the style battle, but still lose 2-0 to the Knicks.

Speaking to the media for seven minutes, Haliburton said he would “get better” on 13 separate occasions. Obviously a theme to prepare for Game 2. But Haliburton is dealing with back spasms and remains listed as questionable on the injury report for Game 2, as it was entering the series. He plans to play, but the injury may affect him more than he lets on. His anger has subsided as his back, which he has had intermittent problems with since high school, flared up recently. “This time of year everyone is doing something and they are working on it, doing everything they can to keep themselves feeling good,” said Pacers coach Rick Carlisle. “I’m confident he’ll play, but it’s worrying.” -via ESPN / May 7, 2024
“I made a mistake playing…and it wasn’t the right decision for me,” Haliburton said Tuesday following the team’s practice. “I still have to be who I am, but yes, I will be better tomorrow.” -via ESPN / May 7, 2024
