Update on Derek Lively II’s neck injury

Mavericks rookie center Dereck Lively II’s availability for Game 4 remains uncertain after suffering a neck injury during a Game 3 collision in the Western Conference finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Lively left the field for an evaluation to determine the extent of his injury after being hit in the head by Karl-Anthony Towns’ knee in the second quarter.

NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that while the initial tests on Lively’s neck have returned satisfactory results, his status for the upcoming game remains unclear.
