The rise of the Saudi Pro League cannot be ignored, and Liverpool can breathe a sigh of relief that one of their players has refused to move to Al Nassr.
There seems to be a school of thought that any player moving to the Emirates is only doing it for the money, as the level of the league compared to Europe or elsewhere is very poor.
Indeed, TeamForm notes that it is only the 66th best league in the world, meaning that Israel’s Ligat ha’Al and the Georgian Erovnuli Liga are just two of the smaller leagues that are considered better to play in.
That hasn’t stopped the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Aleksandar Mitrovic and others moving there, with even two former Liverpool stars in Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane now plying their trade in the Saudi Pro League.
It has long been argued that Mo Salah will be seen as the last player in the league, but as of now, the King of Egypt is setting his feet on Anfield.

According to a report by Football Insider, the player has been offered a huge offer from Al Nassr, but the Brazilian is not interested in leaving Anfield and reunites with his former teammate, Mane, among others.

Given their obvious wealth, objections won’t stop the Saudi Pro League from continuing to bombard the transfer market, and when presented with less-than-believable wealth – Mane earns a ridiculous £661,000 a week according to Capology – it may become harder for players to say no.
